We have an immediate hiring need for our tool and die repair technician on 1st shift. You will report to the facilities supervisor. You will be onsite in our Ladysmith, WI production plant.
Schedule:
This is a 3rd Shift role (Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM- 7:00AM) with 10% shift differential pay.
Job Summary:
Constructs, modifies machine shop tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Work with engineers and tool designers to develop tools. Work from blueprints, specifications and diagrams. Checks work with instruments.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Maintain molds. Modifies, calibrates plastic injection mold tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Repair or manufacture parts to maintain production tooling/molds. Confer with engineers, production, and others to resolve tooling related problems. Select, align, and secure holding fixture, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, EDM's, lathes and grinders. Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications. Perform general maintenance on Toolroom equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED. Follow written or verbal directions.. Read printed materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Machine Tool or Mold/Die background (CNC mill, lathe, surface grinder)
