Tool Room Machinist

Job Description

Tool Room Machinist - 1st Shift Medicoil | Lake Geneva, WI Medicoil is seeking an experienced Tool Room Machinist to join our team on 1st shift. In this role, you will design, build, repair, and modify tooling such as jigs, fixtures, and dies that support our manufacturing operations. If you enjoy solving mechanical challenges, working with precision equipment, and supporting production improvements, this is a great opportunity to join a stable, family-run manufacturing company. What You'll Do Build, repair, and modify tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Set up and operate machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM Inspect finished work using precision measuring tools Support production and assembly departments with tooling improvements Assist with equipment repairs and R&D part fabrication Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures What We're Looking For Proven experience as a machinist or tool room machinist Experience with manual and CNC machining (mills, lathes, grinders) Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience with tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges CAD/CAM or EDM experience is a plus High school diploma or GED (vocational training or apprenticeship preferred) Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Standing and working with tools and machinery for extended periods About Us R&L Spring Company and Medicoil are family-run manufacturers in Lake Geneva, WI known for our strong team culture, clean facility, and commitment to quality.
