Wagner, a privately held manufacturer of engineered and proprietary products serving the automotive and material handling markets has an immediate opportunity for a quality minded Tool and Die Maker on second shift with demonstrated skills and a can do attitude. Position background requirements include metal stamping and previous experience with progressive dies. The Individuals selected for these roles will construct, maintain, alter, check and repair dies, fixtures, gages, tools, jigs, special machines and equipment. This position requires operating tool room machines and equipment related to the trade when necessary. The Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: 1. Builds/repairs stamping dies to the plan, set up, and run of machine tool equipment. 2. Uses precision measuring and gauging equipment, performing required inspection before, during, and after machining. 3. Reads and interprets blueprints, utilizes cad data for die build information. 4. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trade. 5. Fits and assembles die's and die assemblies for production sample. 6. Familiar with a wide variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures within the trade. 7. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 8. Requires minimal supervision. 9. Follow Corporate and Departmental Environmental Quality, and Safety Programs; including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear plugs, safety glasses, badges, and steel toe shoes as applicable. 10. Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook. 11. Use the Suggestion Program to continue company improvements. 12. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Qualifications •
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent • Journeyman Card Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Familiar with Hot Runner Manifold systems. Good problem solving skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Willingness to follow safety rules when operating machine equipment and assembling molds and mold assemblies. Proficient use with all manual machines and any of the following: CNC machining centers, Die sinker, High speed milling machines. Works with and assistsTool Maker Apprentice Capable of working in a teamwork atmosphere. Excellent manual dexterity, muscular control, and a delicate touch to accomplish precision work without damage to valuable molds. Metal stamping and previous experience with progressive dies. Operating tool room machines and equipment related to the trade Schedule 2nd shift Monday through Friday 3pm to 11:30pm $3/hour shift premium for working 2nd shift
