RER leads the power generation industry in aftermarket pump repair, replacement part manufacturing, and field installation and commissioning since 1982. Specializing in high pressure multi-stage boiler feed pumps, RER provides its customers with high quality engineering services, repairs, and parts for centrifugal pumps through the utilization or highly skilled professionals, cutting edge technology, and proven work methodologies.What You Get:

Balance Technicians perform all tasks necessary to balance pump components according to procedures and specifications. This is a second shift position. Recommend methods or processes that will ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of productivity and quality, while reducing costs. Operate balance machine to balance pump components according to procedures and specifications. Follow procedures to disassemble pumps and parts, blast & clean parts, and re-assemble of pumps and parts. Must be able to perform this task independently. May hand dress (grind) parts for proper appearance or functional dimensions. Check parts for run-out. May make gaskets as needed. Ensure part sizes and dimensions are accurate. Chase threads and tap holes when needed. Operate lift equipment and cranes to safely move parts and pumps. May prepare pumps for shipment, following procedures. May paint pumps and components. May perform welding activities, to include pad welding, tack welding, build-up and filling, and maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies. May Sandblast and clean pumps and components. Complete special projects as assigned. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, pictures, etc.What We Are Looking For:
Skills and Experience:
One to three years related experience.Education/Experience:
: High school diploma or GED ; or a combination of education and experience.Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare routine reports and paperwork. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees of the organization.Math Ability:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge of inventory software and manufacturing software.Certificates and Licenses:
MMust obtain lift equipment certification & OSHA training after hire. May require welding certification.Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Vision Demands:
Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus are needed.PPE/Safety Demands:
Requires the use of safety glasses and shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, welding helmet and gloves, face shield, dust mask, respirator, hot mitts and rubber gloves as dictated by the work being performed.Other:
- Requires the ability to operate torching equipment.
