Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to support safe, compliant operations at our biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will operate, monitor, and adjust wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, clarifiers, filters, and chemical dosing equipment, to ensure discharge meets regulatory and internal quality standards. You will collect and analyze samples, maintain accurate logs, perform basic equipment maintenance, and follow strict safety and environmental procedures within our inclusive, mission-driven culture. Responsibilities Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and control systems Adjust process parameters and chemical dosing to meet discharge limits Collect, test, and document wastewater and effluent samples Maintain accurate logs, records, and regulatory documentation Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance Respond to alarms and troubleshoot process and equipment issues Follow all safety, environmental, and GMP procedures Coordinate with maintenance, EHS, and production teams on system needs Required Skills Wastewater treatment operations SCADA and process monitoring Chemical dosing and handling Lab sampling and water quality testing Pump and valve operation Preventive maintenance Regulatory compliance (EPA/local) Reading P&IDs and SOPs Data recording and reporting Safety and HAZMAT procedures
