Job Description
Highlights of the Role As a Water Foreman, you'll play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality water for our community. This position oversees the operation and maintenance of water treatment systems, supporting compliance with County, State, and EPA standards. You'll report to the Operations Manager/Supervisor and provide leadership support, including assisting with scheduling and while stepping in as acting as a supervisor when needed. What You'll Be Responsible For Operate, monitor, and maintain plant process equipment such as pumps, motors, chlorinators, chemical feeds, and basic lab instruments to ensure water quality meets regulatory standards Collect samples and perform tests including pH, CL ₂ , LSI, and other required analyses Monitor water demand and adjust flows through wells and booster pumps to maintain system pressures according to established policies Calculate and adjust chemical feed rates; modify pump settings as needed to maintain proper treatment levels Maintain chemical inventory and request new or replacement supplies Operate and monitor telemetry and SCADA systems for efficient system control Assist with safe unloading and storage of chemicals Perform equipment adjustments, lubrication, and minor repairs; report issues promptly Perform other responsibilities as requested What's Required to Be Successful High school diploma or equivalent required 5+ years of experience in water operations 1+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role Grade 4 certification in water treatment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Knowledge of water production, storage, and distribution systems, including treatment and collection facility operations Familiarity with safety practices for operating electrical and mechanical equipment in water facilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficiency Iprocurement and PO process and procedures. (ADD) Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in water operations. Grade 4 certifications in appropriate areas for Water. HS Diploma or GED. Valid AZ Driver's license, Class D. Meet job requirements of highest level for appropriate area. Fully Successful annual evaluations. One year of experience in a lead or supervisory role. Why EPCOR?
