Responsibilities Operate and monitor water distribution and treatment plants to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations. Manage pump operations, including startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial pumps used in water distribution and wastewater treatment processes. Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, pressure levels, and system performance to identify issues early and optimize operations. Maintain and work with our water treatment equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation devices. Conduct routine inspections of all equipment and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all operational activities to uphold safety standards. Support environmental compliance efforts by documenting operational data, preparing reports, and implementing best practices for wastewater treatment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in operating treatment plants, filters and other water treatment equipment. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distrib in automation of water systems. Experience working in wastewater treatment plants and water utility distribution systems with a solid understanding of environmental regulations. Ability to perform basic math calculations for flow measurement, chemical dosing, and data analysis. Skilled in performing equipment repair, troubleshooting system issues, and conducting analysis to improve system efficiency. Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, confined spaces, and hazardous materials handling. Excellent attention to detail for data collection collection, record keeping, and compliance documentation. Physical capability of lifting, climbing ladders and performing maintenance tasks in various weather conditions.
