Job Description

Genesee Water and Sanitation District is looking for an experienced Water/WastewaterOperator who knows their craft and enjoys being part of a close-knit, mission-driven team. What You'll Be Doing Operating and maintaining the water and wastewater treatment facilities Monitoring systems, collecting samples, and keeping things in regulatory compliance Maintaining the distribution and collection systems Troubleshooting issues before they become problems Supporting emergency response and on-call rotations Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance/repairs of equipment What We're Looking For Colorado Water and/or Wastewater Operator Certification - Class C or higher Solid hands-on experience in water and/or wastewater operations Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills A team player who takes ownership and pride in their work Valid Colorado driver's license Willingness to participate in on-call duties Bonus Points If You Have Higher-level certifications (B/A in Water and/or Wastewater Treatment) Experience in small or mountain systems SCADA familiarity What We Offer Hourly pay range: $29.00 - $47.00 per hour, based on experience and certification level Great benefits package (health, retirement, PTO, holidays) Support for training and higher certifications The chance to make a real difference in the community—every single day
