Job Overview Service Technician Quantum Pump & Controls is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team supporting water and wastewater treatment operations. This is a hands-on field service position focused on troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, installing, and commissioning pumps, controls, electrical equipment, instrumentation, VFDs, and related water and wastewater equipment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, control panels, VFDs, instrumentation, and related equipment Perform field service, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance at water and wastewater treatment facilities Install and commission pumps, controls, instrumentation, and other equipment Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues Assist with startup and commissioning of new equipment and systems Configure and adjust VFDs, instrumentation, and control equipment as needed Perform basic PLC/HMI adjustments and configuration when required Install and troubleshoot instrumentation including flow meters, pressure sensors, level transmitters, and analyzers Read and interpret wiring schematics, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical drawings Identify equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs or solutions Communicate with customers, operations personnel, engineers, and internal team members to resolve service issues Document service work, troubleshooting findings, repairs, and equipment conditions Maintain accurate service records and assist with regulatory and customer documentation Support equipment upgrades, installations, and system improvements Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all company and job-site safety procedures Respond to occasional emergency service calls and participate in on-call or overtime rotations as needed

Qualifications Required:

Previous experience in field service, industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, controls, pumps, or a related technical field Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe electrical work practices Mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose equipment problems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and equipment documentation Familiarity with pumps, motors, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, or industrial automation systems Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently in the field while also collaborating with a team Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle equipment and tools as required Ability to travel to customer job sites throughout Colorado and occasionally stay overnight when a project or service call requires it

Preferred:

Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment Experience working with pumps and pumping systems Experience with VFDs, motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, or instrumentation Experience reading P&IDs and electrical schematics Electrical, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or related technical training Previous field service experience Experience with startup and commissioning of equipment Work Environment Water and wastewater treatment facilities Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Frequent travel to customer and job sites Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols Occasional on-call, overtime, weekend, or emergency response support Why Join Quantum Pump & Controls?
