Water Treatment Operator - Class 2

To be discussed based on experience and qualifications Position Overview CooperBuild is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Operator with a valid Class 2 Water Treatment Operator license to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of water treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pumps, valves, filtration systems, chemical treatment, water flow, and related mechanical equipment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor water treatment equipment and systems. Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, filters, piping, and associated mechanical systems. Monitor water flow, pressure, chemical levels, and treatment processes. Perform routine water sampling, testing, and documentation. Adjust treatment processes as necessary to maintain required water quality. Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues. Maintain accurate operating logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records. Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate equipment repairs. Follow applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and other operational issues. Coordinate with management, engineers, contractors, and maintenance personnel as required. Qualifications Valid Class 2 Water Treatment Operator license required. Previous experience operating or maintaining water treatment systems. Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, filters, flow systems, piping, and hydraulic systems . Ability to understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and operating procedures. Experience with water sampling and basic water-quality testing. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and water treatment regulations. Reliable, organized, and able to work independently. Preferred Experience Experience working with municipal, commercial, industrial, government, or large-building water treatment and mechanical systems is preferred.

Pay:

$24.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
