Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of water treatment and wastewater systems, ensuring efficient and compliant plant performance Operate and monitor advanced water treatment equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS), to maintain optimal process control Conduct routine inspections, data collection, and analysis to identify system issues and implement timely repairs or adjustments Lead maintenance activities for industrial pumps, heavy equipment, and wastewater treatment components, ensuring proper repair and preventive maintenance Oversee safety protocols by enforcing personal protective equipment (PPE) use, adhering to safety regulations, and conducting safety training for team members Coordinate with team members on heavy lifting tasks, equipment repairs, and troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues Maintain detailed records of operations, maintenance activities, environmental compliance reports, and incident logs Qualifications Proven experience working in water treatment or wastewater treatment plants with a strong understanding of water systems and environmental regulations Demonstrated knowledge of pump operation, wastewater systems, and water treatment equipment operation Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial automation technology Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pumps and heavy machinery Strong analysis skills combined with basic math proficiency for data interpretation and process adjustments Experience working in the energy & utilities sector is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment as needed Commitment to safety regulations and environmental compliance in all operational activities Join us in a role that challenges your technical skills while empowering you to lead a dedicated team committed to delivering safe drinking water.
