Overview We are seeking a Wastewater Treatment Manufacturing Technician to join our dedicated team in supporting environmental compliance and operational excellence within wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, chemical feeders, and control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial pumps, water treatment machinery, and associated equipment. Collect data related to water quality parameters, system performance, and environmental compliance metrics. Assist with the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of water treatment systems to ensure efficient operation. Follow safety regulations by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to all safety protocols during heavy equipment operation and maintenance tasks. Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor as needed for equipment installation or repair activities. Document operational activities, maintenance records, and system anomalies accurately for reporting purposes. Support the operation of wastewater systems in accordance with environmental standards and company policies. Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements. Skills Proven experience working in wastewater treatment plants or water utility distribution systems. Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial pumps, water treatment equipment operation, and maintenance. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation technology. Ability to perform basic math calculations for data analysis and operational adjustments. Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, chemical handling, and environmental compliance. Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting system issues and optimizing performance. Experience working in the energy or utilities sector is preferred but not required. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely while maintaining a focus on precision and safety standards. Good communication skills for documenting procedures, reporting issues, and collaborating with team members.
