This includes review and revision of existing cleaning procedures and policies, as well as development of new procedures and training materials. They will coordinate with production, maintenance, and warehousing teams to ensure that all changeover and Master Sanitation Schedule cleaning is assigned and completed in a timely manner. The Sanitation Supervisor will also be called upon to help lead changes in existing sanitation methods and frequencies to improve asset availability, while reducing food safety risk and costs. This role should have a safety first, quality always approach with a continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities Conduct audits of facility conditions to ensure high standards of employee safety and GMP compliance. Responsible for Master Sanitation Schedule creation, changes, and scheduling to ensure sanitary condition expectations are met or exceeded. Oversight of Sanitation events to ensure compliance with written programs and utilization of good sanitation practices. Writing and revision of SSOP's and OPL's pertaining to plant cleaning programs. Crew staffing and employee scheduling for sanitation and janitorial personnel. Management of training program for Sanitation Department personnel in SSOP's, chemical and environmental health and safety. Ownership of Sanitation Department SDS and PPE programs. Chemical inventory and titration program oversight. Liaison to pest control provider and responsible for program oversight and corrective action. Sanitation supplies/equipment inventory, purchasing, and maintenance. Oversight of recycling and scavenger programs. Member of facility food safety and food defense teams. Oversight of Sanitation Department routines, self-assessment rhythms, and auditing. Analysis and reporting of Sanitation KPI's such as schedule compliance, ATP results and labor-hour compliance. Coach site personnel in GMPs and sanitary condition standards. Assess root cause and document corrections or preventive actions, as necessary. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or regulated industry with a minimum of 3-years relevant sanitation experience. Interpersonal skills and ability to influence and promote change across all levels of the organization. Understanding and demonstrated use of root cause analysis tools. Demonstrated leadership and associate developmental mentoring with 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably across multiple shifts. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with organic, kosher, non-gmo and halal certifcation and its impact to cleaning programs preferred. Demonstrated prioritization skills, teamwork and quality decision making. Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP are required. Experience with data trending and analysis. Familiarity with environmental sampling programs preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in a science discipline preferred. Skills/Knowledge Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Proficient in Microsoft Windows and iOS 7-Steps of Sanitation Detergent and sanitizer chemistry and titration
