Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Wastewater Operator and become a vital part of ensuring clean, safe, and efficient water treatment processes. In this role, you will operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues to uphold environmental standards. Your energetic approach will help keep our water systems running smoothly, supporting community health and sustainability initiatives. Duties Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including pumps, tanks, valves, and heavy machinery used in water treatment processes. Perform equipment repairs and maintenance to prevent system failures and extend operational lifespan. Collect and analyze data related to water quality parameters, flow rates, chemical levels, and system efficiency for reporting purposes. Assist with construction or installation projects related to water treatment infrastructure as needed. Execute basic math calculations for flow measurements, and system calibrations while adhering to safety protocols. Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving plumbing or electrical components within the treatment plant. Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on mechanical parts to ensure continuous operation. Support emergency response procedures by quickly addressing system malfunctions or safety hazards. Requirements Proven experience with wastewater treatment operations or water treatment facilities is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including construction machinery. Basic math skills for calculations related to flow measurements, and data analysis. Knowledge of plumbing systems and general maintenance practices within industrial settings. Physical ability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, climbing ladders, and performing manual tasks in various weather conditions. Excellent analysis skills for monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance at all times.
