Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various control systems and heavy equipment. Hours Must be able to work 3 days on/3 days off - 12 hour shifts including nights and weekends. Duties Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment related to wastewater treatment. Collect data on water quality and treatment efficiency for analysis and reporting purposes. Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment operation and maintenance. Operate heavy equipment safely in compliance with all safety regulations. Assist in plumbing tasks related to the wastewater treatment process. Engage in construction activities as needed for facility upgrades or repairs. Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates. Analyze data to identify trends or issues in the wastewater treatment process. Qualifications Proven experience in wastewater treatment operations or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy machinery safely. Basic math skills are essential for effective data handling and analysis. Excellent analytical skills to assess operational data and troubleshoot issues effectively. Knowledge of plumbing systems is beneficial for maintaining facility operations.
