Job Description
Feast & Fettle is hiring a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) & Sanitation Supervisor to join our Culinary Operations team. This is an onsite role based in Elkridge, MD with a Thursday - Monday work week. Reporting to the FSQA Lead, this role will serve as the technical expert and owner of all levers that drive food safety in our large scale commissary kitchen. What is Feast & Fettle? What You'll Own The Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) will own the internal auditing of food safety, sanitation, & hygiene practices, in order to assess and report on compliance, and continually propose and implement actions for improvement and risk mitigation. Additionally, the FSS will enhance and codify a culture of food safety within the commissary kitchen by spending time on the production floor for observation and coaching, conducting regular training, providing food safety updates, and managing the sanitation programs on the floor. What You'll Do Implement and Verify Good Manufacturing Practices Adhere and Audit SSOP Programming. Maintain and support all compliance programs. Execute and improve current raw and RTE sanitation controls. Monitor product flow within the facility to reduce risk of cross contamination. Partner on enhancing existing SOPs to improve cooling and time-temp safety standards. Inspect and Action on product issues and complaints related to food safety to resolution. Ensure proper root cause investigations, corrective actions and preventive actions are tracked and closed out properly. Advise upon, and carry out food safety training both for compliance and based on trending. Manage sanitation programs including but not limited to: pest control, chemical control, master sanitation schedule with Swabbing and Micro Testing for Clearance. Maintain all company certifications including ServSafe, and county filling requirements. What We're Looking For Subject matter expertise in Food Safety, to include HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices 3+ years of FSQA and sanitation supervision experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Track record of strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities. Strong organization and process-driven mentality. Ability to undertake their work and implement new programs with a proactive and "hands-on" approach. Ability to partner with all levels of personnel in the work environment to ensure compliance with objectives.
