Opportunity in Ogallala, Nebraska! We are accepting applications for a Water/Wastewater Operator for our Ogallala, NE location. Not a certified operator? No problem. PeopleService will provide training and pay for certifications. If you want to be a key player in a very rewarding career with a proven long-term company - apply today! HS diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean record - no excessive tickets and/or loss of license in the past 5 years. Experience working with various types of equipment including pumps, generators, wrenches, shovels, drain spades, drills, backhoes, dump trucks, sewer jet machines, various hand and power tools, etc. Ability to apply basic accounting knowledge and principles, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, etc. Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions using tact and diplomacy from city staff, general public, supervisors, vendors, co-workers, etc. Ability to be on-call for a 7-day period, including weekend rounds. Must have the flexibility to respond to after-hour emergency callouts. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
