The City of Wahoo is seeking a dependable, hands‑on individual to join our Public Works team as a Water/Wastewater Operator. This role plays a vital part in protecting public health and maintaining essential city infrastructure—all while offering long-term growth and certification opportunities. What You'll Do As a Water/Wastewater Operator, you'll assist with: Operation and maintenance of the City's wastewater collection and treatment systems Water production and distribution system support Routine inspections, maintenance, and operational tasks Emergency response and on‑call duties, as needed Safe, compliant operation following state and federal regulations ✅ What We're Looking For Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Certifications (or Ability to Obtain) CDL (may be required upon hire) State of Nebraska Water Certification State of Nebraska Wastewater Operator Certification ✨ Don't have all certifications yet? If you're willing to learn, we're willing to help you get there.
