Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Pump Technician and Water Treatment Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and operating water and wastewater treatment systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, ensure environmental compliance, and support community water safety. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pumps, water treatment equipment, to guarantee optimal performance and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain pumps, water treatment systems, to ensure continuous operation. Conduct routine inspections of water systems, and associated mechanical components to identify issues early. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, valves, piping, and control systems using mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Collect data related to water quality parameters, system performance metrics, and operational logs for analysis and reporting purposes. Follow safety regulations by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment. Assist with construction projects or upgrades involving heavy equipment operation, plumbing, or system installation as needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in pump maintenance and repair. Familiarity with water treatment processes, and related equipment operation. Proficiency in basic math for calculations related to flow rates, chemical dosing, or system adjustments. Analytical skills for data collection, troubleshooting issues efficiently, and implementing effective solutions. Plumbing / electrical skills combined with construction experience are advantageous for system upgrades or repairs.
