Full Job Description Job Description:
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all sanitation and cleaning activities within the Extended Care Food Service Department and NCC Food Services Department to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for food preparation, service, and storage.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that the kitchen and storage areas including floors, refrigerators, and freezers remain clean and sanitized Inspects storage and serving areas to ensure compliance with state laws and nursing home regulations Cleans and sanitizes food service areas in preparation for Department, City of Newark sanitation inspections and NJDOH inspections Manages and monitors stock delivery storage and organization for the department. Distributes product inventory Assists with meal preparation and serving line during meal times when needed. Participates in cleaning and sanitation with staff, as needed. Provides direction with meal planning, meal substitutions, and assignments of staff in the absence of the
Food Director Experience and Skills:
Five (5) years of food service experience in a long-term care, nursing home, hospital, or healthcare setting. Knowledge of food safety principles, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices, preferred.
