202504 HKA Enterprises - 4.0 Rio Rancho, NM Job Details Full-time $21.70 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Wastewater Certification High school diploma or GED Driver's License Water Certification Full Job Description We're hiring a Water Treatment Operator-in-Training II to support daily operations and maintenance at a water treatment facility. This role is ideal for someone with foundational water treatment experience looking to grow their skills.
Pay:
$21.70 per hour Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Water Level I Certification Minimum of one year of water treatment experience
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks at a water treatment plant on an assigned shift Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water, sludge, and effluent under supervision Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels; observe and report abnormalities Operate valves, gates, pumps, engines, and generators to adjust treatment flow under direction Maintain shift logs and record meter/gauge readings Take samples and perform process control lab tests and analyses Perform routine maintenance and custodial duties Be fit and able to work overtime as needed Follow written and oral instructions and safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of engine, pump, and equipment operation and maintenance principles Familiarity with general maintenance work and safe work practices Basic understanding of biological and chemical principles #WaterTreatment #OperatorInTraining #UtilitiesJobs #WaterOperator #NowHiring #
