Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, data collection, and heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Perform routine inspections and monitor equipment performance, including distributed control systems and logic controllers. Collect and analyze data related to water quality and treatment processes. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports. Operate heavy equipment as needed for maintenance tasks, including tankers for transporting materials. Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal performance of the facility. Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of plumbing systems and water treatment processes is advantageous. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Experience with distributed control systems and logic controllers is a plus. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
