GPAC is partnering with a premier, rapidly growing meat processing organization in Western Ohio seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Wastewater Technician . Operating out of a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility featuring modern stainless-steel equipment, this position is ideal for an experienced tech seeking stability, top-tier compensation, and true career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.). Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data. Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust chemical treatment (pH levels, chemical dosing) as necessary. Perform probe calibrations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on pumps and treatment systems. Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Maintain accurate logs, operational records, and compliance reports. Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience preferred. Valid Wastewater Certification preferred. Experience with chemical dosing, pH monitoring, and pump troubleshooting. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with PLC or SCADA systems. Forklift or equipment operation certification. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF.
