Job Description
Job Description We're hiring a Wastewater Operator-in-Training to support daily operations at a wastewater treatment facility under the direction of a certified operator. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to learn treatment plant operations, equipment maintenance, and process monitoring while working toward state certification.
Pay:
$20.00 per hourKey Responsibilities:
Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluentMonitor gauges, meters, and control panelsObserve and report abnormalities to the Certified OperatorOperate valves and gates manually or by remote control; start and stop pumps, engines, and generators to control treatment processesMaintain shift logs and record meter and gauge readingsLearn and gain skill in equipment maintenance, servicing, and operating tasksTake and record equipment readingsTake process samples and perform routine laboratory tests under supervisionMaintain daily and punctual attendance at assigned job sitesBe available for on-call emergency response as neededTravel between work locations as requiredPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:
