Job Description
Oregon Water Services is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Wastewater Service & Maintenance Technician . Every day is different as you travel to residential and commercial properties to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair onsite wastewater systems that protect public health and the environment. Whether you have experience in plumbing, construction, maintenance, or another skilled trade, we'll provide the training you need to succeed. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Maintain log of operations and meter readings Inspect all components of onsite wastewater systems to ensure appropriate and efficient operation. Make plumbing repairs related to all operational parts of wastewater systems Cleaning and testing components including, but not limited to, pumps, tanks, floats, bio-filters, and distribution piping. Collect effluent samples from wastewater systems and deliver to local laboratory for required testing Work with the internal team on service calls and projects Other duties as assigned Competencies Proficient in problem solving; Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
