Job Description
Back Equipment Operator (CDL)
- 24816 Crafts Contract 11575 Sep 17, 2026 Roseburg , Oregon We are seeking an Equipment Operator for assignment in Roseburg, Oregon. The selected candidate will operate treatment systems and mobile equipment, monitor plant conditions, perform routine and preventive maintenance, and assist with repairs and troubleshooting at our wastewater treatment plant. Hours are Monday
- Friday, 7:30am
- 4:00pm
- This position has a pay rate of $24
- $26/Hr.
- This position requires a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Responsibilities
- Operate loading and hauling equipment, including front-end loader, forklift and Class B trucks
- Assist in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant and related facilities
- Operate treatment systems, valves, gates and pumps to control and adjust the flow and processing of wastewater, sludge and effluent
- Monitor plant and equipment operations by reading meters, gauges, control panels and other operating systems; identify and respond to changes in operating conditions
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, meter readings, equipment inspections and other custodial duties
- Perform or assist with corrective maintenance and repairs on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, pumps, valves, motors, engines and related equipment
- Report, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures; assist with major and minor repairs and help prevent recurrence
- Perform basic plumbing, pipe fitting, cleaning, painting and facility appearance tasks
- May use welding equipment to heat, cut, braze or weld when trained and authorized
- Collect water and wastewater samples and conduct assigned quality-control testing
- Complete work orders and maintain shift logs, maintenance records and other operational documentation; close work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Perform other duties as required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
