We are seeking an Equipment Operator with a Class B CDL to support wastewater treatment plant operations, equipment operation, and preventive and corrective maintenance. Experience in industrial facilities preferred.

Pay:

$24.00- $26.00 per hour

DOE Responsibilities:

Operate loading and hauling equipment, including front-end loader, forklift, and Class B trucksAssist in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant and related facilitiesOperate treatment systems, valves, gates, and pumps to control and adjust flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluentMonitor plant and equipment operations by reading meters, gauges, and control panels; identify and respond to changes in operating conditionsPerform preventive and routine maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, meter readings, equipment inspections, and custodial dutiesPerform or assist with corrective maintenance and repairs on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, pumps, valves, motors, engines, and related equipmentReport, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures; assist with major and minor repairs and help prevent recurrencePerform basic plumbing, pipe fitting, cleaning, painting, and facility appearance tasks; use welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, or weld when trained and authorizedCollect water and wastewater samples and conduct assigned quality-control testingComplete work orders and maintain shift logs, maintenance records, and other operational documentation; close work orders in the CMMSUnderstand and carry out oral and written directions; maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and others encountered in the course of workFollow all required safety practices and use appropriate PPEPerform other duties as required

Required:

High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license with a clean driving recordCurrent CDL to operate Class B commercial vehiclesForklift and mobile-equipment operating experienceGood work ethic, willingness to learn, and mechanical aptitudeBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to enter data into maintenance management systems
