Job Description

Susquehanna Environmental Services, LLC is searching for a Part-Time Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in the Chambersburg, PA area.

General Summary:

This is a part-time position with very flexible hours. Work can be completed anytime during daylight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control water and wastewater treatment systems. Perform routine daily sampling, testing and rounds. Follow standard operating procedures for water and wastewater treatment. Ensure plant is well maintained to allow maximum reliability and regulatory authority compliance.

Requirements:

Minimum of a Class D License and a Sub-class 1 (Activated Sludge) License assigned by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) and a Potable Water License issued in PA assigned by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP). Valid PA drivers license High School diploma or GED equivalent Ability to pass drug test and background checks

Physical Demands:

Must be able to exhibit full range of motion for tasks such as climbing, kneeling, grasping, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors in all types of weather.
