Overview We are seeking a motivated Water Treatment Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our water and wastewater treatment systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and environmental compliance are paramount. As a vital member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining water quality standards, operating treatment equipment, and supporting environmental initiatives. Responsibilities Operate and monitor water treatment and wastewater systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards Perform routine inspections and maintenance on water treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, filters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Collect data on water quality parameters such as pH, turbidity, chemical levels, and flow rates for analysis and reporting Conduct heavy equipment operation and perform repairs or adjustments as needed to maintain system efficiency Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks Assist in troubleshooting issues related to distributed control systems (DCS) and industrial pump operation Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and environmental compliance documentation Experience Prior experience working in wastewater treatment plants or water treatment facilities is highly preferred Knowledge of industrial pump maintenance, repair, and operation is essential Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and water utility distribution systems is advantageous Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation and heavy lifting tasks required for maintenance activities Strong understanding of safety regulations related to industrial environments and environmental standards Basic math skills for data collection, analysis, and reporting purposes Ability to perform analysis skills for troubleshooting system issues effectively Experience working within the energy & utilities sector or similar industrial settings is a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to operational excellence while supporting sustainable practices. Pay:
$24.75 - $29.81 per hour
