As a Corrections Water Treatment Plant Foreman with the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill, you take the lead in keeping a major utility system functioning smoothly. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on operating, maintaining, and overseeing the wastewater treatment plant to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. As a Corrections Water Treatment Plant Foreman, you will perform the following duties:
Plant Operations:
Monitor and operate treatment systems under normal and emergency conditions to maintain safe performance
Equipment Maintenance:
Inspect, clean, and service plant equipment and make minor repairs to ensure proper function
Water Testing:
Perform water chemistry tests and maintain accurate logs and records in line with regulatory requirements
Plant Administration:
Complete paperwork, track inventories, submit purchase requests, and communicate needs to supervisors
Crew Supervision:
Oversee inmate workers, maintain tool and supply control, and ensure safety and compliance during work activities Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday•Sunday.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,925.00 (before taxes). However, a higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.
Special Requirements:
You must possess a valid certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators as a water treatment plant operator that is equal to or higher than a Class C with subclasses 1, 7, 8, and 11. You must possess a valid Class E certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators. You must possess a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
