WATER/WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR - GRADE II
Broadbent & Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined consulting firm providing a broad suite of environmental and engineering services to oil companies, mining operations, agricultural companies, municipalities, private industries, governmental agencies, public and private utilities, and developers. Our experienced and highly qualified staff of water/wastewater operators, engineers, geologists, environmental assessors, scientists, and industrial hygienists brings a responsive team-oriented approach to project management. Broadbent is seeking a Water and/or Wastewater Operator with a minimum Grade II ADEQ Operator Certifications (AAC Title 18, Chapter 5). The successful candidate will conduct wastewater treatment plant operation, maintenance activities and training, and/or assist in water supply, treatment, and distribution. Services are to be provided, in general, for small rural facilities located throughout Arizona. Facility types can range from simple to complex. Position will be based at the Tempe, Arizona office location, but remote work is possible option depending on experience. The ability to become Grade III operator is preferred; the ability to hold both Water and Wastewater certifications is preferred; classes, testing fees and study materials will be provided by Broadbent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ADEQ Certified Grade II Water and/or Wastewater Operator required (AAC
R18-5-406 & 407
). One or more of the following: Grade 2 Water Distribution System Operator Grade 2 Wastewater Collection System Operator Grade 2 Water Treatment System Operator Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment System Operator Compliance water and wastewater sample collection Maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems Work independently in field conditions under supervision of the Division Manager Desire and ability to train other operators
Desired Qualities:
The willingness and ability to become Grade III operator is desired; the ability to hold both Water and Wastewater certifications is preferred; classes, testing fees and study materials will be provided by Broadbent. General knowledge of commercial electrical systems (control wiring and pumps) General knowledge of commercial plumbing methods Strong mathematical skills Previous commercial/industry experience Strong commitment to safety Able to travel within the western regional US. Your interpersonal skills are essential as you interact regularly with local clientele as well as regulatory agencies. Though you do spend time in the field, you also make sure to keep with your administrative responsibilities. WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday with moderate travel and some weekend work based on client emergencies.
