Columbia, SC 29334 1st Shift (Mon.- Thurs. 7a to 3/4p) Four-Day Workweek. Private Sector Pay. Real Impact. You've put in the work. You know wastewater treatment inside and out. Now imagine finishing your workweek by Thursday afternoon and bringing home $28 an hour or more. We're placing an experienced Level B Physical/Chemical Operator with a private environmental services company in NE Columbia, SC. This is a direct hire position
- no temp-to-perm runway, no waiting. You join their team from day one. What You'll Own As a Level B operator, you're not just maintaining
- you're optimizing.
That means:
Operating and maintaining physical/chemical wastewater treatment systems within permit limits Monitoring and troubleshooting pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, and chemical feed systems Independently adjusting equipment and chemical feed systems to get the best performance Performing routine sampling, testing, and process monitoring to hit compliance targets Completing discharge monitoring reports, operational logs, and required documentation Collaborating with plant leadership to improve performance and efficiency Supporting less experienced operators and mentoring when needed Using Service Fusion or similar platforms for accurate operational data The Operator This Role Is Built For You hold a South Carolina Level B Physical/Chemical Operator License (or higher) and you have at least a year of real operational experience under your belt. You've probably spent that time in a government or municipal setting- and you know you can do more with a team that moves faster and rewards performance.
Required:
SC Level B Physical/Chemical Operator License or higher 1+ year of wastewater operations experience Strong grasp of physical/chemical treatment processes Ability to troubleshoot independently Basic Microsoft Office and reporting system skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment Nice toHave:
Industrial wastewater treatment background Environmental compliance and inspection experience Familiarity with scheduling or field service software Schedule and Compensation Monday through Thursday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 or 4:00 PM Directly hired by client from day one.
