Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Water Treatment Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of water and wastewater treatment processes. In this energetic role, you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Your expertise will help deliver clean, safe water to communities while supporting sustainable operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply mechanical knowledge, technical skills, and a proactive approach to environmental stewardship. Duties Operate and monitor water treatment systems Perform routine inspections and maintenance on treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, valves, and tanks, to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Conduct data collection and analysis to track system performance, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues promptly. Repair or replace mechanical components and perform heavy equipment operation for tasks such as tankers or large machinery involved in water treatment processes. Assist with construction projects related to plant upgrades or new installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical specifications. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while managing plumbing systems, including pipe repairs or installations necessary for water flow management. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance logs, and compliance documentation for regulatory reporting. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for calculations related to flow rates, chemical dosing, and system adjustments. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in modern water treatment facilities. Hands-on experience with equipment repair, plumbing repairs, heavy equipment operation, and general maintenance tasks. Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes along with the ability to perform waste management procedures responsibly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in construction environments or during equipment installation projects. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, chemical handling, and plant maintenance. Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
