Job Description
This position is responsible for the overall supervision, operation, and maintenance of the Water/Wastewater department by performing the following duties. Reports directly to the W/WW Superintendent as the supervisor of multiple crews performing duties related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of the public water/wastewater systems including but not limited to sewer repair, sewer cleaning, internal inspection, inflow & infiltration reduction, water distribution, water repair, and backflow/cross connection. Supervises all W/WW employees overseeing the completion of all assigned tasks as communicated. Assigns and dispatches crews as necessary for the completion of such tasks. Monitors budget expenditures. Prepares monthly purchasing card statements for submission. Works with contractors to setup large wastewater or water projects and oversee their completion as needed. Reviews work orders. Prepares state regulated and division reports as required. Resolves and addresses citizen complaints regarding water & wastewater operations.
