Job Duties:

Operates a sanitation truck to transport refuse to the appropriate disposal location.

Plans, schedules, and supervises inmate workers assigned to maintenance and sanitation duties.

Inspects inmate work to ensure it meets safety, building, and agency standards.

Inspects buildings, equipment, and grounds for security concerns and needed repairs.

Receives maintenance requests and helps coordinate preventive maintenance and repair work.

Maintains the security and accountability of assigned inmates.

Performs other duties as assigned.

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have a high school diploma or GED.You possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL).You have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate issued within the past two years.

You are registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

You can safely operate a sanitation truck and follow transportation regulations.

You are dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work with limited supervision.

You can maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have previous maintenance, sanitation, waste collection, or commercial driving experience.

You have experience supervising or directing inmate workers or other employees.

You can identify maintenance, safety, and security concerns during inspections.

You understand preventive maintenance and basic repair needs.

You are organized and able to plan daily work assignments and routes.

You communicate clearly, use good judgment, and consistently follow safety and security procedures.
