Job Description

This is a highly responsible position that includes operating, monitoring and controlling activities of the City of Paris Wastewater Treatment Plant as assigned by the Plant Superintendent.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Collects and analyzes wastewater samples from all phases of the wastewater treatment process using established procedures. Use SCADA computer to adjust chemical levels to ensure proper residuals. Adjusts pumps to ensure proper flow of wastewater into and leaving the plant, maintains accurate operational records. The Operator III will perform operation and maintenance of all aspects of the wastewater treatment plant. Works rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. All applicants will be
REQUIRED
to possess at least a Class B Wastewater Treatment Operator license from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality;
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Must have the ability to perform essential job functions. Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver s license.
