Job Description
General Purpose - Perform a variety of skilled operational, laboratory, and maintenance duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the Cedarburg Water Recycling Center and collection system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Operate valves, pumps, chemical feed, screens and grit removal equipment. Collect wastewater samples and perform routine laboratory testing to monitor treatment processes and plant performance; maintain records and perform tests required for regulatory compliance. Perform preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment, on the distribution and collection system, and on the building and grounds. Clean wet wells and operate pumps and valves to control and adjust flow and treatment process of wastewater; monitor and operate gauges, meters and control panels; observe and interpret variations in operating conditions. Ability to participate in weekend and after hour rotations.
