DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lift Station Operator position will support the Wastewater Plants with inspections and maintenance of various lift stations throughout the collection system. Position has a wide variety of responsibilities that may include but not be limited to: Dependable individual knowledgeable to perform routine preventative maintenance Troubleshoot, repair pumps and controls Record flows and change charts Maintain grounds (including grass cutting) as well as housekeeping needs at various stations Assist operation and maintenance personnel as directed Pull, unplug, and inspect pumps - checking and changing oil as necessary Schedule and pump lift stations with tanker as necessary Operate pressure washer to clean stations as needed Performing other related work as required
REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver's license along with a good driving record Possess CDL license or ability to obtain CDL within given amount of time Basic electrical and pump control skills preferred Ability to perform light manual labor Ability to work well with minimal supervision; possess good oral and written communication skills Ability to work after hours, weekends, on call rotation, and holidays as required It is the policy of the Utility Board to provide equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. Basic Qualifications Experience repairing water pumps Valid driver's license Class B Commercial Driver's License CDL license or able and interested in obtaining in a given amount of time Able to work weekends, after hours, holidays, and on call rotation if needed
Additional Information Salary Range:
$22.08 Minimum (Based on experience and qualifications)
