Job Description
Located in Dutch Harbor Alaska Alpha Welding and Boat Repair Inc, has an immediate opening for an experienced Welder/Fabricator. We perform various ship repairs such as: pipe fitting and welding, plate inserts, and ss factory modifications. We repair/rebuild or build-new many different types of commercial fishing equipment as needed. Company Housing is provided for individual worker. Skills- Some welding experience with Steel/Aluminum/Stainless Steel Must be very proficient welding with 7018 Tig welding experience preferred Being able to work independently is a must. Using basic layout skills to cut material, fit and weld-out on a daily basis in the shop or on-board a vessel. Experience in a shop using a shear or press brake is preferred but not necessary. Necessary Requirements- Required Experience-5yrs of welding and fabricating Must be able to show up to work on time and work extended hrs. Must pass a drug test and fit test before hire.
