Summary:

The general purpose of a welder is primarily to be responsible for the quality and safe welding of components in daily production.

Responsibilities:

• Fabrication of structural steel.
• Comprehend specifications and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequence.
• Follow detailed instructions, processes and procedures.
• Position, align, fit and weld parts in accordance to blueprints and layout specifications.
• Must always be in full PPE and adhering to all safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read fabrication drawings
• Ability to weld, grind, and torch cut is required (experience in

MIG/GMAW

preferred)

• Ability to use squares, level, straight edge and other construction tools to locate detail parts
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure within 1/32" of an inch .
• Must be able to operate an overhead crane and forklift.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 70 pounds.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen.
