Inc. is a leading steel fabrication company who has been servicing the construction industry for 50 years. We have earned the reputation of providing excellent quality and service, in the structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication industry.
Summary:
The general purpose of a welder is primarily to be responsible for the quality and safe welding of components in daily production.Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of structural steel.
- Comprehend specifications and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequence.
- Follow detailed instructions, processes and procedures.
- Position, align, fit and weld parts in accordance to blueprints and layout specifications.
- Must always be in full PPE and adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Ability to weld, grind, and torch cut is required (experience in
MIG/GMAW
preferred)- Ability to use squares, level, straight edge and other construction tools to locate detail parts
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure within 1/32" of an inch .
- Must be able to operate an overhead crane and forklift.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 70 pounds.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen.
