/ Fabricator Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fitter / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building industrial machinery and precision assemblies from blueprints. This role is critical in fabricating and assembling high-quality equipment used in demanding industrial applications. This is not production welding. We build custom industrial machinery. Each project requires layout, fit-up, problem-solving, and attention to detail. If you are used to running repetitive parts all day, this position may not be the right fit. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and mechanical assembly prints Lay out, fit, and assemble plate and machined components prior to welding Perform MIG welding on carbon steel; TIG welding experience is a plus Fabricate machine housings, frames, ducting, brackets, and precision components Work with machined parts and ensure proper alignment and fit-up Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances Operate fabrication equipment including band saws, drill presses, grinders, ironworkers, and other shop tools Perform quality checks to ensure weld integrity and dimensional accuracy Collaborate with machinists and assembly team members to complete builds efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications Proven experience in machinery fabrication or industrial equipment manufacturing preferred Strong ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints MIG welding experience required; TIG experience a plus Experience fitting plate and precision components Ability to measure accurately using tape measures, calipers, squares, and layout tools Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail Ability to safely operate hand tools and fabrication equipment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on custom builds If you take pride in precision fabrication and enjoy building complex industrial equipment from the ground up, we encourage you to apply.
