Your Job Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Welder to join our Lumber facility in Talladega, AL!
Salary:
Our starting pay is at $27.00•$ 30.00/hour depending on experience. $ 5.00/hour shift premium for any hours worked Friday•Sunday (overtime rules apply). You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill.
Shift:
Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. 12 hours shifts. Weekends, Thursday•Saturday (every other Sunday), 6:00 a.m.•6:00 p.m. The week of orientation will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and you will be assigned your regular shift after your orientation.

//youtu.be/GWuiSnWUiLs to see how we make lumber. What You Will Do Work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment up to 12 hours per day. Stand for extended periods of time and lift/carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) At least 2 years of general welding experience. Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, Arc, and Oxy-fuel Welding Must demonstrate the ability to produce welds that are 100% x-ray quality and visually acceptable • Must know how to clean welds with a buffer or grinder for the welder What Will Put You Ahead Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
