[Insert Schedule/Shift] Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This position is responsible for welding and assembling specialized trailer structures and components according to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong welding skills, the ability to read technical drawings, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to working safely and efficiently. Essential Job Duties Read and interpret technical drawings to understand welding requirements, specifications, and project tolerances. Weld and join metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. Assemble and weld specialized trailer structures. Assemble parts and components that make up larger assemblies. Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain welding machines, cutting tools, and related equipment. Perform weld finishing, including grinding, needling, and other finishing processes. Inspect and clean parts to ensure quality standards are met. Safely handle materials and parts using overhead cranes and walkways as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all applicable OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Attend required safety meetings and training. Perform daily inspections of welding equipment, with particular attention to welding leads. Inspect hand tools, power tools, and extension cords before each use. Safely operate hand and power tools with all required guards in place. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required. Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred. Knowledge of various welding techniques, including linear, multi-layer, and vertical welding. Knowledge of welding processes such as preheating, welding consumables, and surface preparation. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding specifications. Vocational welding training and/or AWS Welding Certification preferred. Ability to work accurately and efficiently while meeting production requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to successfully complete required welding training and demonstrate the ability to meet established welding quality standards. Work Environment This position involves regular exposure to: Extreme temperatures Heat, cold, and humidity Wet or humid conditions Welding fumes and airborne particles Loud noises Moving mechanical equipment Electrical hazards Chemicals and other industrial materials Employees must be comfortable working in an industrial environment and following all required safety procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds , with occasional heavier lifting as required. Ability to stand and bend for extended periods. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands. Ability to frequently hold, grasp, seize, turn, and manipulate tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity. Must have adequate close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Comfortable working around heat, noise, welding fumes, and industrial equipment. Safety Requirements Safety is a top priority.

Wear hearing protection as required. Wear composite-toe or steel/hard-toe safety shoes. Wear appropriate eye protection. Wear additional PPE as required by the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for the work area. Maintain an orderly and clean work area. Attend all required safety meetings and training. Inspect welding equipment daily to ensure it meets safety requirements. Inspect tools and extension cords before each use. Operate hand and power tools safely and with appropriate guards in place. Follow company policies, OSHA guidelines, and task-specific PPE requirements. Welding PPE When welding, required PPE may include: Welding helmet with appropriately shaded filter lens Safety glasses worn under the welding helmet Fire/flame-resistant clothing Heavy-duty flame-resistant welding gloves Respiratory protection when welding harmful metals or when ventilation is inadequate Steel- or hard-toe safety boots Torch Cutting PPE When cutting steel with a torch, required PPE may include: Properly shaded safety glasses with a face shield or approved cutting goggles Hearing protection Steel- or hard-toe safety boots Gloves Fire/flame-resistant clothing Proper friction lighters or other approved devices must be used when lighting a torch.
