Job Description

Essential Duties Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Set up components for welding according to specifications. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Ensure welds meet standards and specifications. Supervise machines or robots that perform automated welding tasks. Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent, required Welders certification may be required depending on job specifications Skills & Competencies Minimum 1 year of experience or schooling, preferred Proficiency in: MIG (GMAW) TIG (GTAW) Stick (SMAW) Working knowledge of: Welding Structural brake forming Fabrication processes along Automated welding techniques This job description outlines the primary duties of the position, but is not intended to cover every task or responsibility.
