We do structural steel, miscellaneous metals, railings, stainless fabrication, equipment repair, millwright work, and a growing amount of process and pressure piping. Our customers include manufacturing plants, food processing facilities, schools and universities, and commercial general contractors. We want to be the contractor customers call when the work is hard and has to be done right. We run our crews on a simple standard. Show up early, own your work, tell the truth, and leave every job better than you found it. The Position We're hiring welders who can handle a wide range of work. Most jobs are structural steel, misc metals, and repairs on commercial jobsites and in industrial plants. As our piping work grows, we want welders who can weld pipe too. That's why every applicant takes a pipe test, no matter which position they're applying for. If you can pass it, you have the skill we need for everything else we do. Responsibilities Weld structural steel and miscellaneous metals in all positions: beams, columns, embeds, lintels, stairs, railings, and supports Fit, cut, and prep steel to shop drawings and construction prints Do field erection and installation on commercial jobsites alongside general contractors and other trades Do repairs and shutdown work in operating industrial plants Weld pipe when the job calls for it Help with shop fabrication, including CNC plasma parts Follow jobsite and plant safety rules, hot work permits, LOTO, fall protection, and our written safety program Take care of trucks, machines, and tools, and keep your work area clean Tell your lead early about fit-up, material, or safety problems Requirements Solid SMAW skill in all positions Must pass our hands-on 6G pipe weld test at our Van Buren shop Can read shop drawings and construction prints Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willing to travel for out-of-town work Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and take part in random testing Able to work at heights, in aerial lifts, and in hot or cold conditions Your own hand tools (we'll give you our tool list) Preferred
GTAW / TIG
pipe experience Current AWS D1.1 or pipe certifications you can verify Steel erection, rigging, or commercial construction experience Plant maintenance or shutdown experience OSHA 10 or 30, forklift, telehandler, or aerial lift training Who Fits Here We care more about character than a long résumé. You'll do well here if you show up early, take pride in your welds, own your mistakes, think for yourself, communicate clearly, and treat equipment like it's your own. If you're looking for a place to coast, we're not the right fit. Pay and Benefits $25 to $40 per hour, based on the weld test results and verified experience Extra $2.50 per hour if you show up with a complete tool list Per diem on qualifying out-of-town work Overtime Room to grow into lead and foreman roles as the company expands Every applicant takes a hands-on weld test at our shop before an offer is made.
Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
