Structural Welder Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality MIG and flux core welding on heavy industrial components and assemblies that must meet

You will work in a job shop manufacturing and fabrication environment that produces heat exchangers, compressor packages, oilfield processing equipment, vessels, headers, skids, platforms, walkways, and other related structures. Responsibilities Perform MIG and flux core welding on structural components in accordance with
AWS D1.1
standards. Complete welding tasks on vessels, headers, skids, platforms, walkways, and other heavy industrial equipment. Pass and apply 1F, 2F, and 4F plate tests using MIG welding as required for production work. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to determine welding requirements. Set up welding equipment and select appropriate parameters to achieve strong, clean, and consistent welds. Weld carbon steel components in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment. Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment of welded assemblies. Perform quality inspections on completed welds to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances. Follow all safety procedures while working around heat, sparks, noise, and industrial equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safe operations. Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to complete projects on schedule. Identify and report any defects, equipment issues, or material concerns that could affect weld quality or safety. Essential Skills

Welding Certification. Proficiency in flux core welding. Proficiency in MIG welding. Successful completion of 1F, 2F, and 4F plate tests using MIG welding. At least 5 years of welding experience in a structural shop working to

standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings. Experience welding carbon steel in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Ability to use measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment. Ability to perform quality inspections of completed welds. Strong attention to safety and high-quality workmanship. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on heavy industrial equipment such as vessels, headers, skids, platforms, and walkways. Comfort working in a busy fabrication shop environment with industrial equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team. Work Environment This is a day-shift position, working approximately 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime beyond 3:30 p.m. and occasional Saturdays as needed to meet production demands. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently bend, kneel, climb, and move around a fabrication shop. You will work in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment, regularly exposed to heat, sparks, noise, and operating industrial equipment, while following all appropriate safety practices and wearing suitable protective gear. #AerojobsOK26 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sapulpa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
