In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and metal fabrication tasks on various projects, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction and manufacturing projects, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact project success. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding and assembly specifications Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal and other metal materials using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutters, power tools, and measuring instruments Fabricate components by welding, cutting, grinding, and assembling metal parts with precision in accordance with project specifications Use construction site experience and mechanical knowledge to ensure proper fit-up, alignment, and assembly of fabricated parts Adhere strictly to safety protocols while operating welding equipment and power tools, maintaining a safe work environment at all times Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship Experience Proven shop fabrication experience with a strong background in metal fabrication and mechanical fabrication processes Hands-on experience with construction sites or industrial environments involving crane operation, machining, plasma cutting, and assembly tasks Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately Familiarity with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and welding standards Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise measurements Mechanical knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and the use of hand tools and power tools Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures combined with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Join us if you're eager to apply your welding expertise in a vibrant setting where craftsmanship meets innovation!
