Job Description
Overview We are looking for 2-3 candidates to join our team in Mesa, AZ as we offer our services to the Arizona construction/industrial markets. We specialize in general mild and stainless steel fabrication as well as process piping fabrication, and millwright mechanical services. These services are offered both through our shop in Mesa and with our field crews at various plants in the valley. We use numerous welding processes here including FCAW-G, FCAW-S, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW. While experience in not all processes is required, applicants will be required to perform either a welding test using FCAW-G (dual shield) in the 2-4F positions or a GTAW 6G test depending on abilities. Applicants with less than 2 years fabrication experience need not apply. Duties Read blueprints to cut, drill, fit and weld steel materials into various fabrications maintaining plumb/level/square. Operate various tools and equipment to complete tasks including band saw, mag drill, ironworker, plasma cutter, oxy-acetylene torch, forklift, jib crane, etc. Understand welding processes and function/set up of welding equipment in both shop/field environments. Perform installs, repairs, and replacements of mechanical equipment in various plant environments while adhering to industry/site safety standards. Interact and communicate with coworkers, customers, and vendors in a respectful and effective manner. Maintain valid driver's license and drive company vehicles to sites in a safe manner. Work with manual hoists and levers where required to bull rig equipment and piping into place. Install/remove various types of fasteners using a combination of personal hand tools and power tools. Install/repair/remove various types of piping/tubing including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper (pro-press), and PVC.
