We are currently looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our Tube Manufacturing team, focusing on charge pipe and AiS tubes.. The successful candidate will be proficient in both MIG/TIG welding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and have the desire to join a rock-star team!
Roles & Responsibilities:
Reads and comprehends job work instruction "process sheets. Places parts in specified weld jigs Welds components or assemblies using MIG and/or TIG welding to required specifications Welds I/C and/or intake tubes and related fixtures. Preforms continuous inspection of welded/assembled products. Completes required job documentation and process reports for assigned jobs. Monitors and report any fitment issues to supervision. Performs production duties such as manual lifting of jigs and welded products, following safety guidelines and procedures. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to team supervisor. Maintains a clean workstation per safety guidelines for welding. Wears all required PPE in accordance with safety regulations, and welding standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of TIG/MIG welding process, wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminum. Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters. Ability to produce consistent, quality welds in a fast-paced environment, meeting output expectations. Ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions, procedures and written process sheets. Familiarity with automotive components, desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
Basic shop mathematics:
addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Education and/or
Experience:
Welding certificate from accredited welding program or school and one (1) year minimum experience MIG/TIG welding in a fast paced manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. advanced FLOW engineering, inc. is an equal opportunity employer (EEO).
