Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welding operations across various projects, ensuring all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and technical specifications. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join metal components according to project specifications. Read and interpret detailed construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine proper welding procedures. Fabricate and assemble pipe systems, including pipe threading, pipe fitting, pipe welding, and installation of sprinkler and fire sprinkler systems. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and tube bending equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and installation processes. Ensure all welding work adheres to safety protocols, NFPA standards for fire protection systems, ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels, and other relevant safety regulations. Cut, shape, and prepare materials using power tools while maintaining precision in measurements with calipers or basic math skills. Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in the interpretation of technical drawings for complex piping systems or pipeline projects. Support maintenance activities on existing installations by performing repairs or modifications as required. Follow construction site safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during all phases of work. Experience Proven experience in welding within construction or industrial environments, with a focus on pipefitting, fabrication, or sprinkler system installation. Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, and TIG welding. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and construction plans. Familiarity with pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and pipe installation processes. Mechanical knowledge related to pipeline systems and construction site operations. Experience working according to NFPA standards, ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems. Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocol adherence on active job sites. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
